This is the privacy policy for ThatWorx Web Services, a web design studio based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I’m a one-person operation, so when I say “I” below, I mean exactly that.
The short version: I collect your contact information when you fill out a form, I use it to reply to you, I don’t sell it, and I don’t spam you. That’s really it. The rest of this page just puts that in writing in enough detail to be useful.
What I collect and why
Contact form submissions
When you fill out the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), website URL (optional), project type, and message. I use this information to respond to your inquiry. Nothing else.
I don’t add you to any mailing list. I don’t share your information with third parties. If you reach out and we don’t end up working together, your information isn’t going anywhere useful to anyone.
Form submissions are sent to my business email via SMTP through the hosting provider for thatworx.net. Those emails are stored in my inbox like any normal business email. I keep them as long as they’re relevant to ongoing or potential work.
Server logs
Like every website, the server this site runs on keeps basic access logs: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. This is standard web hosting infrastructure. I don’t actively review these logs unless something breaks or there’s a security issue.
Cookies
This site uses WordPress, which sets a small number of cookies for basic site functionality. If you’re not logged in as an admin (you’re not), you’ll only get session cookies that don’t track you across other sites and expire when you close the browser. There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies on this site.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell or rent your information to anyone.
- I don’t use your information for advertising.
- I don’t subscribe you to newsletters or marketing emails.
- I don’t run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tracking on this site.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on a web server running WordPress. The hosting provider has access to server-level data (logs, backups) as part of normal hosting operations. I use SMTP email delivery through my hosting provider’s mail server to send contact form notifications.
I don’t use any third-party marketing platforms, CRMs, or data brokers in connection with this site.
Your rights
You can ask me what information I have about you, request that I delete it, or ask me to correct it. If you’ve submitted the contact form, just email hello@thatworx.net and I’ll handle it directly. No forms, no waiting periods, no runaround.
Children’s privacy
This site is a business-to-business service. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If I ever add analytics, change email providers, or update anything that affects how your data is handled, I’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Nothing sneaky.
